Our Story
Manufacturing Printers, Mount Vernon Ohio, was founded in 1924. Bob and Alice Coyne bought the business on North Main Street in 1974 and refocused the company towards commercial printing. By 1976 they had incorporated and changed the name to Coyne Printing. In 1980 the Coyne’s relocated the business to Ohio Avenue. By the mid 80’s they acquired Merchandisers Incorporated in Heath, Ohio and continued to do business in both locations.
A new era began in 1990, when son Kevin Coyne purchased the business from his parents and moved all operations to Mount Vernon. He continued doing business as a commercial printer until 1993. Seeing a need for finishing services in the printing industry, Kevin began shifting the focus of the company to that of a graphic finisher. As the business grew, the company again found itself split between two locations. To address the need for added space, Coyne rented a building on Pittsburgh Avenue. By the late 90’s the transformation was complete and Coyne was no longer a printer.
In 2000, Kevin Coyne purchased Coyne’s current home at 1301 Newark Road in Mount Vernon. By consolidating both locations, Coyne doubled its production space. In 2005 the company went through a total rebranding process and legally changed the name to Coyne Graphic Finishing, Inc. Coyne Graphic Finishing continues to grow at a steady pace by listening to the customer’s needs and purchasing new equipment to keep up with the growing demand for specialty services in the industry. Being referred to as “curve ball hitters” in the industry, Coyne is known for the ability to take an impossible project and make it work for the client and end user.
