Heat Bending
At Coyne Graphic Finishing, we're constantly on the lookout for new capabilities that will help our customers create more attractive and useful products - faster and more efficiently.
One of our latest additions is the installation of thermal heat bending equipment. A boon for our large-format POP display customers, thermal heat bending allows us to form sturdy POP supports from a variety of thermoplastics, including styrene, polyethylene, polypropylene and more.
Hot Wire = Top-Shelf Accuracy
The thermal heat bending equipment uses a hot resistance wire to heat plastic uniformly. Once the plastic is heated to its "open" temperature, it is bent to your desired angle. The use of resistance wires for thermal heating is very accurate and versatile with a maximum length of 48".
Heat bending is performed after the material has been screen printed and die cut or routed, placing minimal impact on the production schedule.
